Hunting by Starlight

Hunting by Starlight

We often hear the coyotes howling and yipping at night, and protecting our chickens from these intelligent hunters has been quite a process.

Trailing the last gleam after,
In the valleys emptied of light,
Ripples a whimsical laughter
Under the wings of the night.

I love the way you captured the moonlight on the coyote! I know what you mean about trying to protect your chickens from the coyotes. We have a lot of coyotes where we live, too. I love to hear them at night, but we have really beefed up security to protect our little pygmy goats!
